The 2023 annual Carroll Lecture at St. Mary’s Seminary & University will be given by George Weigel. He takes the title from his most recent book in which he explains the necessity of Vatican II and explores the continuing relevance of its teaching in a world seeking a deeper experience of freedom than personal willfulness. To Sanctify the World recovers the true meaning of Vatican II as the template for a Catholicism that can propose a path toward genuine human dignity and social solidarity.

This book will be available for purchase and Mr. Weigel will sign copies.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested at the link above.
