Distance Education Complaint Process

All St. Mary’s Ecumenical Institute students are protected by the Grievance procedure outlined in the Student Handbook. Distance education students who live outside Maryland have the right to lodge a complaint or grievance if they believe that the Ecumenical Institute has provided false or misleading information, or engaged in fraudulent activity. If a student’s initial complaint to the Ecumenical Institute using the grievance procedure in the Student Handbook fails to resolve the issue, the student may submit a written complaint to the Maryland Higher Education Commission through its State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) Complaint Process.

St. Mary’s Seminary & University has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.
